I had the sense this weekend that Colorado was rolling out the red carpet for all the Great American Beer Festival visitors. The sky was blue with a few white fluffy clouds, the temperature was perfect–not too hot, not too cold–and a light breeze rustled through the grass. It all combined for the kind of day everyone hopes they have on their wedding. Luckily for Brittany and Bryan, their Spruce Mountain Ranch wedding took place this weekend at the sprawling cattle ranch and event venue in Larkspur.
The couple shared a tearful and intimate first look through the rustic doors leading to the ceremony site. Spruce Mountain was particularly meaningful to them as that’s where Bryan proposed (and, obviously, where Brittany said “Yes!”).
Brittany’s grandfather continued a cherished family tradition by officiating their wedding, as he had for many of their family members. They exchanged vows in front of the sweeping hills as the sun set in one direction while the moon rose in the other.
After a romantic, candle-lit dinner in the barn, guests finished off the night getting down on the dance floor, mugging for the photobooth, and toasting s’mores on the patio while gazing at the supermoon.
