It’s been a season of firsts for us – from a nighttime portrait with the Denver skyline in the background to a pre-wedding snowboarding shoot at Beaver Creek. And while we’ve had plenty of adorable dogs and children as ring bearers, last weekend was the first time we had a mini-pig trot the rings down the aisle.
Olivia & Colin spent the morning getting ready at their home near Sloan’s Lake before getting their first glimpses of each other at the park. From the natural backdrop of Sloan’s Lake, the wedding party (including Jefferson, the pig) took the limo downtown to the River North Art District, better known to locals as RiNo, for wedding party portraits. RiNo is an amazingly cool neighborhood of Denver. Every time you turn a corner, there’s another mural and each one is a feast for the eyes.
From RiNo, it was on to Chatfield – with a short pitstop for alcohol…at Costco…on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. Yes, there were more than a few gawkers!
Olivia & Colin’s ceremony was just as beautiful as the view from the Open Air Chapel. Jefferson fulfilled his duties as ring bearer, but also made sure to sniff every interesting scent all the way down the aisle.
The newlyweds made their grand entrance into the reception with a choreographed tango to Por Una Cabeza. A quick costume change for Olivia and it was on to the party, which included everything from lawn games to a cigar bar.
A big thanks to Olivia & Colin for having us and to all the vendors who made it such an unforgettable event!
A pig ringbearer will steal the spotlight everywhere, including this feature on Bespoke Bride!
