Leanne and Devin have a liiiiiittle bit of a competitive streak.
The first time I noticed this at their Lodge at Cathedral Pines wedding was during the pre-ceremony preparations. Devin had hooked up the sound system to his smart watch and given the watch to their friend Loren, who was helping them out by wrangling all the wedding day logistics. Loren was excitedly showing Leanne how she could remotely cue the music for the ceremony simply by pressing certain buttons on the watch. Personally, I was amazed by this technology. But Leanne’s reaction? “Wait, if you’re wearing his watch, does that mean the it’s counting your steps as his steps?!”
The second thing that struck me about Leanne and Devin was their creativity and ingenuity. To pay homage to their favorite friendly competitions, they devised a relaxed reception that included their closest friends and relatives and a plethora of yard games. From cornhole to dominoes and giant jenga to beersbee, there was a game for everyone. And all of the games were homemade by Leanne and Devin. On top of that, they DIY-ed the floral arrangements, signs, and other decor, all in Leanne’s favorite color: purple!
This blog post wouldn’t be complete without a special shoutout to the Bison Brothers food truck. They hustled to feed all the guests, the food was filling and perfect for the setting, and they delivered everything with a smile. Check out their calendar to see where you can get your next bison slider fix; I promise you won’t regret it.
